KA YO w/ SOAR ‘Surveillance’
Moving along the Swiss–Italian border hasn’t made invisible lines feel any less real. In the Alps, borders exist and dissolve at the same time. By road, rail, or air, movement is measured and monitored. On foot, high in the mountains, it feels untracked—until it isn’t.
Surveillance here is quiet but constant. Cameras, sensors, and linked systems blend into the landscape, turning movement into data and presence into trace. Avoidance becomes instinctive rather than performative: fewer signals, fewer objects equals fewer marks left behind. Face coverings, umbrellas, dumb watches. No phones. Not disappearance, but awareness—moving within systems designed to see without being seen.
